fastjet Kenya Profile

About

fastjet Kenya was a LCC start-up to be launched as a subsidiary of parent airline, fastjet with the help of local investors. The airline announced the move following the disposal of its ownership stake in Fly540 Kenya. In Oct-2015, the carrier received an air service licence from the CAA and stated it is seeking an Air Operator's Certificate. fastjet Kenya was granted a one-year air service licence to operate scheduled services between Eldoret, Kisumu, Mombasa, Nairobi and Wajir. fastjet planned to launch the Kenyan affiliate in 2016, subject to CAA approval. A revised launch date has not been advised and it is presumed to be an abandoned bid by fastjet.
